Glam Slam: Katie Holmes’ Stylish New Job

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “I’m really excited to be the face of Ann Taylor for this Spring season,” Katie Holmes says of her new gig with the iconic American sportswear company.

The 32-year-old actress is featured in the advertising campaign shot by photographer Tom Munro, which will debut in March magazines.

“The shoot was really so much fun,” Katie says. “We shot in beautiful Pasadena, in this gorgeous home. And we just had a ball.”

The ads feature Katie in feminine classics the brand is known for. “There’s so many beautiful designs… I love all the sequins and sparkles,” she says. “The jewelry is amazing. There’s so many different pieces, the quality is very high and you can mix and match. There are so many basics that you can put with t-shirts and great blouses and shoes that are really comfortable.”

Katie’s unique personal style, as well as that of her fashionista daughter Suri, is closely chronicled by the press. Her own wardrobe is a mixture of designer clothes, clothes she designs herself and more accessible mainstream brands. “It’s nice to know that if you need something in a pinch and you can go to Ann Taylor and get something.”

She’s not the only fan of the brand. Everyone from Halle Berry to Rachel Bilson, Jessica Simpson and Kerry Washington are fans of AT and past faces include Naomi Watts and Heidi Klum. Now it’s Katie’s turn!

“The Spring to me, the fashion is so refreshing. Growing up in Ohio, I had that experience of being so cold for so long and so bundled up and when Spring comes and you get to look at sundresses and lighter fabrics and get to show off your tan and I love all of the Spring designs at Ann Taylor.”

Katie says she grew up loving the clothes and what Ann Taylor represents to women.

“Ann Taylor really signifies a woman who is very complex. A woman who goes to the office, is a mother, is a wife, is a daughter, is a sister, is a friend and is all of those things in a day. I’m thrilled to be a part of a brand I believe in,” she says.
