Katie Holmes 'and beau get closer'

Katie Holmes reportedly invited her co-star Luke Kirby to spend time at her holiday home in Ohio recently.

The actress has been linked to her co-star Luke Kirby for several months. Although they have denied dating rumours, Katie reportedly invited the hunk to spend time at her new holiday home.

"Katie invited Luke to join her and [her daughter] Suri for a long weekend away last month at the lakeside house that she recently bought at Devil's Lake in Ohio. It's a few doors down from her parents' vacation home, and it's a sentimental place for Katie because that's where she spent her summers when she was young," a source told British magazine Look . "The three of them stayed there for a few days, spending as much time outdoors as possible and eating home-cooked meals. Luke loved getting to know the 'real' Katie away from the intensity of a movie set."

Luke is believed to have moved out of the home he shared with his girlfriend Andrea Sarubbi, and their relationship is said to be over. He seemingly has feelings for Katie, but doesn't want to rush into anything until he has settled things with Andrea.

"Katie's trying to be a friend to him, as she would to anyone, but the more time they spend together, the more she seems to be falling for him," revealed a source. "She even jokes he's her Mr Right - but the elephant in the room is his confusion over what's happening with Andrea...

"It's been so long since Katie has felt this way about a man, but she won't let things slip over the line until Luke tells her that he and Andrea are over for good."

While Katie is thrilled to have found someone she is attracted to, her ex-husband Tom Cruise is apparently less impressed. It has been claimed he recently tried to convince Katie to give their relationship another chance, but is now aware of her blossoming romance with Luke.

"Tom has heard the rumours and he's not happy. It makes his blood boil, especially after he poured his heart out to her just last month... He has warned her that their daughter should come first... The reality is he never really let her go," an insider explained. "At the end of the day he's just worried about what Suri will hear and who she'll be influenced by."

Tom has recently been romantically linked to Jessica White, a model and fellow Scientologist. Those close to the star believe Tom could soon go public with the beauty.

"If things do happen with Tom and Jessica, I wouldn't be surprised if this is some sort of reaction about Katie and Luke," said an insider.
