She is often seen dressed down in a collection of very casual jeans, plaid shirts and sweaters as she plays doting mother to her daughter Suri Cruise.

But it's New York Fashion Week, and Katie Holmes has once again become quite the style chameleon.

After experimenting with biker chic on Monday, the actress went for a softer look as she sat front row at the Michael Kors Spring 2014 Fashion Show at the Lincoln Centre on Wednesday.

The actress looked positively feminine in a mid-calf, almost Fifties-style floral skirt, featuring a romantic rose print.

The 34-year-old, who also co-designs her very own label Holmes & Yang, teamed the attire with a loose-fitting knit in a gorgeous lime green hue.

Katie also expertly accessorised the ensemble with neutral accessories, including nude snakeskin heels, a cream clutch and a matching skinny belt.

With her colorful outfit standing out, the brunette beauty went for a natural look with her make-up and tied her chocolate tresses back into a no-fuss ponytail.

At the show, Katie sat front row with American model and DJ Harley Viera-Newton and actress Kate Mara.

Sitting with her legs crossed and her hands in her lap, Katie cast her discerning eye over the creations as they came down the runway.

Following the show, the "Dawson's Creek" favorite, who like Kors has appeared on fashion reality show "Project Runway," chatted to the famous American designer and posed for pictures.

On Monday, Katie was busy working on her own line.

The actress, along with business partner and co-designer Jeanne Yang, held their own fashion presentation, showcasing their latest designs.

The two style stars posed with models as they launched the latest season of their Holmes & Yang line.

And Katie opted for a green hue once again, wearing an olive green lightweight jumper featuring cut outs on the shoulders.

She teamed the top with black skinny jeans, but added some elegance with a pair of gold peep toe heels.

She added some glitz with some large gold hooped earrings and wore a heavy application of smoky eye make-up.

And she certainly seemed confident as she posed for numerous photos throughout the afternoon, seemingly flirting with the camera.

It seemed like Katie had opted an outfit to co-ordinate with some of the models who were wearing her designs, as some included their own mix of olive greens.

Numerous models surrounded Katie and Jeanne as they launched the latest range.

The collection included a range of shift dresses, cute jackets, camisoles and even some shorts, while the colours ranged from the olive green to oranges and a mix of black and whites.

Following the presentation, Katie was spotted out and about in the Big Apple wearing a studded black leather jacket over her skinny jeans.
