Katie Holmes Performs On 100th "SYTYCD" Episode
Katie Holmes talks to Cat Deeley about her upcoming song-and-dance for the celebration of the 100th episode of "So you Think You Can Dance" -- and ET has a peek at their conversation.
"This is an homage to Judy Garland and I am very excited about it," Katie tells Cat. "I like to sing and dance so it is really fun."
As ET earlier reported, Katie will dance and sing to Garland's classic song "Get Happy."
Holmes first became involved because she has teamed up with "So You Think You Can Dance" co-creator Nigel Lythgoe, "Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba and director and choreographer Adam Shankman to create the Dizzy Feet Foundation.
The Dizzy Feet Foundation will provide assistance to talented underprivileged youth to help them realize their dreams of becoming professional dancers, and create awareness about the positive impact that dance can have on the growth and development of our nation's youth.
"It is to give scholarships to these young kids," Katie explains. "I think it is important to experience music and dancing and singing and the arts and sports. This is the next generation. I think it is important to give them every opportunity to grow and discover what it is that they like and to have access to the best. "
Holmes will perform and introduce the public to the new foundation on the milestone 100th episode of "So You Think You Can Dance," Thursday, July 23 on FOX.
