Josh Duhamel, Katie Holmes Share A Secret Rendezvous In EXCLUSIVE 'The Romantics' Clip

"The Romantics" is easily one of our most anticipated films of the fall, if only because it brings together some of our all-time favorite stars in a wistful coming-of-age tale. You guys already shared that you think the cast is just as pretty as we do, but that alone is not enough to carry a film (case in point: "Valentine's Day").

The trailer won us over, but if you still need a little convincing, feast your eyes on this exclusive clip teasing the romantic love triangle at the heart of the film. Watch it above, and see what we have to say after the jump!

We saw some of this clip in the trailer out last month, and despite the fact that the context of this stolen moment between Josh Duhamel and Katie Holmes is a little hazy, it's clear the two of them are doing something that breaks the rules. That's probably because Katie's character dated Josh's during college, and his wedding (fiancee played by Anna Paquin!) is the first time they've seen each other since the break up.

Hopefully—and don't get us wrong, we are holding out a lot of hope—the film has a little more than the typical formula of the long lost loves getting together on the eve of one of them being with someone else. Even if that is how the film ends up, I feel that there could still be enough in the story to make it special and unique. I can't wait to see more of what the supporting cast has to offer, because to waste acting talents like Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Candice Bergman would be a terrible shame.
