Two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz will join Katie Holmes in the Broadway premiere of Theresa Rebeck's comedy, Dead Accounts. The play begins previews Nov. 3 at the Music Box Theatre.

Dead Accounts reunites Butz with Catch Me If You Can and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels director Jack O'Brien, who will stage the dark comedy that is scheduled to open Nov. 28.

Butz (Speed-The-Plow, Is He Dead?, Wicked) will portray prodigal son Jack, with Holmes ("Dawson's Creek," "Pieces of April," "The Ice Storm") as his sister Lorna.

The play had its world premiere last winter at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Additional casting, creative duties and an on-sale ticket date will be announced.

Here's how the play is billed: "Jack's unexpected return throws his family into a frenzy, and his sister Lorna needs answers. Is he coming home or running away? Where is his wife everyone hates? And how did he get all that money? Theresa Rebeck’s new comedy tackles the timely issues of corporate greed, small town values, and whether or not your family will always welcome you back… with no questions asked."

Dead Accounts is produced by Jeffrey Finn, John N. Hart Jr., David Mirvish and The Shubert Organization. Finn recently produced Rebeck's Seminar on Broadway.

Rebeck was a Pulitzer Prize finalist as the co-author of Omnium Gatherum. Her plays also include Bad Dates, The Scene and The Understudy and more. She has also authored the feature films "Harriet the Spy" and "Gossip," and earned a Peabody Award for "NYPD Blue." She is the creator of the NBC musical series "Smash."
